Inauguration of Yangping Nanyang Commercial Bank Combined School's NCB Teaching Building
Nanyang Commercial Bank (NCB) inherits its corporate culture of being enthusiastic about public welfare in fulfilling corporate social responsibilities, one of main component for its sustainable development. In 2008, the 60th Anniversary of NCB, we sponsored the "Yangping Nanyang Commercial Bank Combined School's NCB Teaching Building" project with the support from donors and friends. This four floors teaching building (size: 1073 square meter) was inaugurated in December 2010, containing 12 classrooms with computer and multimedia facilities, which improved the working and learning environment for teachers and students.

Education Fund, Caregiving Activities
In March 2010, NCB initiated caregiving activity with NCB(China), we brought the sport uniforms and school supplies to students. At the same year, NCB established annual bursaries and scholarships to poor or outstanding students.

NCB is actively involved in subsidising the education of Yangping School and cares for the studies and lives of the children in mountain areas, by granting annual bursaries and scholarships to poor or outstanding students.

In 2011, NCB donated 15 computers for teaching purpose. From 2012 to 2016, NCB continued to support Yangping School by funding teacher training schemes. In December 2014, NCB sponsored the construction of the solar heater system in Yangping School. In June 2016, NCB offered support to Yangping School for installing ten solar-power road lamps, relieving the school from the gloom in the morning and at nightfall. In order to improve the learning environment and encourage students to forge ahead, NCB donated desks, chairs and scholarships to Yangping School in 2020.

NCB cooperated with volunteer organization "Power of love" in subsidising the education of Yangping School.

Power of love

The NCB's volunteer team joined hands with various social welfare institutions in Hong Kong to launch a handful of volunteering service activities. We collaborated with the Aberdeen Kai-fong Welfare Association (AKA) for ten consecutive years, arranged the volunteering and cordial visits to the elderly people in the southern area of Hong Kong Island, hoping to bring care and warmth to the elderly in need. NCB volunteered to join the Financial Education Workshops jointly launched by the Hong Kong Association of Banks and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, promoting proper financial planning to low-income families in Hong Kong. To advocate corporate culture of committing social responsibilities, NCB will continuously encouraged staff to participate in charitable and voluntary activities.

In view of COVID-19 epidemic situation, NCB donated anti-epidemic supplies to the Elderly Services Association of Hong Kong, Association of Bought Place Elderly Services, residential care homes and elderly community centres in Central Western, Southern and Islands District.

Apart from comprehensive financial planning service,"NCB Wealth Management" also provides its clients various value-added activities like live concert, drama and film show.

To advocate corporate culture of "Cares for people", NCB continued to arrange for annual travel program for all employees, plus various recreational activities, that served to enrich the leisure time among staff members.
