Nanyang Commercial Bank won "Anti-Scam Advancement" and "Outstanding Bank Staff" Award by the Hong Kong Police Force

On 29 November 2024, Nanyang Commercial Bank was invited to attend the "Anti-Fraud and Money Laundering Intelligence Working Group Seminar 2024" organised by the Commercial Crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force. The event attracted nearly 200 banking industry representatives, as well as representatives from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Hong Kong Association of Banks, the Customs and Excise Department and the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

During the seminar, experts shared and discussed the challenges faced by the financial industry in the area of customer identity authentication, and offered suggestions on management solutions to combat threats. Police clinical psychologists also analysed the mentality of victims in fraud cases and explained the techniques for identifying and dealing with fraud cases. In addition, representatives of financial institutions personally shared good practices in their operations and provided valuable information to various participants. The lively atmosphere at the seminar not only reflected the industry's determination to combat fraud and money laundering, but also deepened the cooperation among the industry, law enforcement and regulatory agencies.

As a representative of participating financial institutions, Nanyang Commercial Bank received a commemorative award from the Hong Kong Police for its contribution in the fight against financial crimes. Nanyang Commercial Bank won two awards at the Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Finance Awards 2024

On October 18, 2024, the 35th anniversary Forum of the relevant Quality Assurance Bureau was successfully held at the IW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong. Under the theme of "Promoting Sustainable Financial Development, Climate Risk and ESG Disclosure", the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) organised the Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Finance Awards 2024 to introduce various recognition projects aimed at promoting sustainable development in the business sector and society as a whole. Nanyang Commercial Bank won two awards for Outstanding Green and Sustainable Loan Servicer (Shipping) and Outstanding Green and Sustainable Loan Servicer (Hospitality) for its outstanding green service quality.

Under the theme of "Promoting Sustainable Finance, Promoting Climate Risk and ESG Disclosure", the Hong Kong Green and Sustainable Finance Awards 2024 will introduce "Green and Sustainable Finance", "Carbon Neutral Contribution", "Climate Risk Disclosure", "ESG Disclosure" and "Promoting ESG Ecosystem". It aims to promote sustainable development in business and society as a whole. This award not only highlights the ability of green finance advisory services of Nanshang Bank, but also affirms the achievements of green finance practice and exploration.

Nanyang Commercial Bank won Diamond Award under Source Separation of Industrial and Commercial Waste Award Scheme 2023/24

On 30 September 2024, Nanyang Commercial Bank won the Diamond Award (the highest level award) under the Industrial and Commercial Waste Source Separation Award Scheme 2023/24. The "Source Separation of Industrial and Commercial Waste Award Scheme 2023/24" is organized by the relevant Waste Reduction Network under the Environmental Protection Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government. There are more than 1,400 organizations/buildings participating in the competition, among which only 17 places are available for the "Diamond Award". Nanyang Commercial Bank not only won the award, but also became the only bank to win the top prize.

Nanyang Commercial Bank was awarded the "Hong Kong Green Organisation Certification (HKGOC)"

On 30 September 2024, Nanyang Commercial Bank was awarded the "Hong Kong Green Organization" Certificate. The "Hong Kong Green Organisation" is jointly awarded by nine organisations including the Environmental Campaign Committee and the Environment and Ecology Bureau. To obtain the certificate, the participating organizations are required to obtain four certificates, namely "Waste Reduction Certificate", "Energy Saving Certificate", "Fresh Indoor Air Certificate" and "carbon Reduction Certificate", and actively participate in the Charter of environmental protection organizations. Nanyang Commercial Bank's award is inseparable from its adherence to the concept of environmental protection and sustainable development, and it is also a recognition of the efforts and achievements of Nanyang Commercial Bank by social environmental protection subjects.

In July 2024, the "I See. I Know" Series of activities for Hong Kong Youth to Understand the Motherland - Qinghai Line "jointly organized by Hong Kong China Enterprise Association and China Cinda was successfully held. More than 40 young employees from Chinese-funded enterprises in Hong Kong went to Qinghai to experience the magnificent natural scenery and rich cultural background of the Great Northwest. During the 4-day trip, the Hong Kong Youth delegation visited many places in Qinghai and had discussions and exchanges with local youth to personally feel and touch the development pulse of the new era in Northwest China.

In this activity, the delegation visited Tar Temple to learn ethnic cultural heritage, investigated the ecological environment in Chaka Sky One salt Lake, investigated the development of Guangyou industry with Talatan, Gonghe County, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and entered Qinghai Tibetan Medicine Culture Museum to investigate Tibetan medicine culture.

Nanyang Commercial Financial Practice Training Camp was uccessfully held

The Youth Financial Practice Training Camp of Nanyang Commercial Bank Overseas School kicked off in Shenzhen on August 12, 2024, with 13 students and parents from middle to high schools across China visiting Hong Kong. With the theme of "Integrated Development", the training camp deepened mutual understanding and friendship, covering the history of southern business, corporate culture, introduction to Hong Kong banking industry and financial knowledge.

The student team attended lectures at the head office building of the South Commercial Bank to learn financial knowledge, increase their understanding of the banking industry in Hong Kong, and learn professional knowledge of Hong Kong deposits, investment products and financial traps in all aspects.

Nanyang Commercial Bank co-organized the exhibition of works of famous artists for the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China

23-28 August 2024, the "Look Better Today - Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China Exhibition" at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre was hosted by Bauhinia Culture Group, co-organized by Nanyang Commercial Bank, co-hosted by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Artists Association, hosted by China International Culture Group and Bauhinia Magazine, supported by the Office of Promoting Chinese Culture of the Hong Kong SAR Government.

This exhibition gathered Qi Baishi, Xu Beihong and other artists' more than 120 masterpieces, works of various types from a wide range of themes. These works share the same theme to show the magnificent rivers and mountains of new China. There were a large number of visitors, not only Hong Kong residents, but also tourists who came to Hong Kong to watch the exhibition. More than ten thousand visitors in the process of feeling the artistic atmosphere to increase the understanding of the scenery of the motherland, harvest moved and proud.

On 4 July 2024, Nanyang Commercial Bank won the "Hong Kong Bond Deal of the Year" and "Hong Kong Green Deal of the Year" awards by Asian Banking and Finance.

The Charity Raffle fundraiser 23/24 organised by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals was held from 16 January to 4 March 2024. As a quality bank with a wide network coverage and a large number of customers, Nanyang Commercial Bank has supported the lottery ticket sales activities of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and Po Leung Kuk for many years, with the proceeds used to support their social welfare and education services activities. The sale of lottery tickets organized by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals is a kind act to raise money for free medical services. "Breastfeeding Room" received a United Nations Certificate of appreciation
