1 Not an existing customer of the NCB
2 Aged 18 or above
3 Holding valid identity documents: Hong Kong Permanent Resident ldentity Card or Hong Kong Resident ldentity Card*
(*Must upload proof of nationality from other countries, such as valid international passport / travel document)
4 Have a valid mobile phone number in China(Hong Kong) /China(Mainland) /China(Macao)
5 Currently located in Hong Kong with mobile location services enabled
6 Nationality (country/region) : China(Hong Kong) /China(Mainland) /China(Macao)
7 Provide valid current residential address and correspondence address**
(**Address proof is required for opening an investment account)
8 Provide basic account opening information such as Identity card number, valid email address, etc.2

Steps to Follow

  • Open “NCB南商” "Please login" "Open an account immediately" "Remote account opening" "Apply for account opening"
  • Click "Apply for account opening" >>Read the Important Notice & Data Policy Notice >> Fill in your personal details
  • Confirm your information and submit application

Await application result notification

Each application takes

approximately 5 working days

to process. Notifications will be sent via SMS and email once the result is available.

Upon successful account opening, the following services will be activated for use:

NCB HKD Savings Account and Multi-Currency Savings Account ("Personal Savings Accounts")
Mobile Banking and Internet Banking Services
Personal Integrated Banking Service
NCB UnionPay ATM Card
Default Monthly Consolidated e-Statement Service
Investment Account (freely selectable based on needs)
Current Account (applicable for branch verification) (freely selectable based on needs)
Upgrade account service to “NCB Wealth Management” freely selectable based on needs)
