  • Time Deposits
    • Time deposit in HKD, RMB and other designated foreign currencies is available. For the first time opening a time deposit, you must first open a "Time Deposit Account"*.
    • You can set up, amend maturity instructions, and check time deposit records.
    • To open a foreign currency/RMB time deposit:
      1. Open time deposit in original currency: Sufficient balance in that currency is required.
      2. Open time deposit via currency exchange: Sufficient balance in the currency to be debited for the exchange is required.
    • The latest time to amend maturity instructions for an opened time deposit via Personal Mobile Banking is by 18:00 on the business day prior to the maturity date. For a rollover instruction, settlement can still be chosen by 18:00 on the maturity date. If the instruction is to credit the principal and interest to a designated account, settlement cannot be chosen on the maturity date.
    • Allows setting up scheduled time deposit transactions for the next 10 working days.

    *The "Time Deposit Account" is a fixed deposit account exclusively for individual customers of NCB to manage time deposits in different currencies. Customers can open it via Personal Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, or at a branch counter.

  • Remittances
    • Handle remittances to overseas bank.
    • Handle the application for scheduled and recurrent instructions of remittance.
    • Enquire the latest transaction records of Outward Remittance. Enquire outward remittance transaction records for the same day / 7 days / one month / three months.
    • Differences in legal systems, payment and settlement systems, foreign exchange controls or banking practices in different recipient countries or regions may affect the collection time of the payee and may involve additional costs that are beyond the remitting bank's control or understanding.
    • Customers can customize transfer or remittance limits for registered or unregistered local/overseas third-party accounts, subject to the Daily Cumulative Total Limit* (maximum HKD 500,000 or equivalent). Customers can adjust or deactivate the increase of transfer or remittance limits via Internet Banking/Mobile Banking. Limit update via Mobile Banking will take 6 hours to be effective, while update via Internet Banking will take immediate effect.

    *The "Daily Cumulative Total Limit" refers to a limit shared among all accounts under the same customer. ). The subject limit refer to total aggregate limit of "Registered Payee with NCB and Other Local Banks", "UnRegistered Payee with NCB and Other Local Banks", "Registered Overseas Payee", "UnRegistered Overseas Payee" and "Small-Value Fund Transfer". If customers require higher limits, they may apply at a branch to increase the maximum limit up to HKD 1,000,000 or its equivalent. For transfers/remittances to unregistered accounts, the daily aggregate limit for local transfers is HKD 100,000 or its equivalent, while for overseas remittances it is HKD 50,000 or its equivalent.

  • Transfers
    • Transfer to Chinese Mainland: choose Payment Connect, Swift Remittance, NCB Faster Remittance.
    • Transfer to local banks (including RTGS/CHATS/FPS): support account number, mobile phone No., email address, FPS ID for interbank transfer. With HKD and CNY, you can have your funds transferred to the account at the receiving bank instantly under normal circumstances. With USD and EUR, you can get your funds transferred to the account at the receiving bank on the same day under normal circumstances.
    • Accept scheduled and recurrent transfer transactions.
    • No limit of fund transfer between accounts held by the same customer.
    • Customers can customize transfer or remittance limits for registered or unregistered local/overseas third-party accounts, subject to the Daily Cumulative Total Limit* (maximum HKD 500,000 or equivalent). Customers can adjust or deactivate the increase of transfer or remittance limits via Internet Banking/Mobile Banking. Limit update via Mobile Banking will take 6 hours to be effective, while update via Internet Banking will take immediate effect.
    • Support activating Small-Value Fund Transfer Service, Upon activation, given security concern, customer is further required to conduct two-factor authentication to perform small-value fund transfer transaction via Internet Banking.

  • ATM Cards
    • Supports customer applications for ATM cards.
    • Supports activation of ATM cards.
    • Supports enquiries into ATM card status.
    • Supports customers in reporting lost or stolen ATM cards and requesting to lift the block.
    • Supports customers in setting up overseas ATM use.
    • Supports customers in reporting unauthorized transactions.
    • Supports customers in setting up UnionPay QuickPass services.
  • Cardless Cash Withdrawal
  • Bill Payments
    • You can conveniently pay various bills through the ”Bill Payment” service via Personal Mobile Banking.
    • Applicable bill categories include water bills, electricity bills, gas bills, government rent and rates, taxes, phone bills, insurance premiums, property management fees, etc.
    • You can make donations to charitable organizations.
    • Supports viewing the daily payment limit via Personal Mobile Banking, and supports setting a daily payment limit for specific merchant categories/specific merchants.
    • The current maximum daily payment limit is HKD 50,000; for special merchants, the daily payment limit is not restricted by the aforementioned limit, with a maximum of HKD 500,000. (Special merchants refer to those with an asterisk * on the Personal Mobile Banking/Personal Internet Banking interface, such as Inland Revenue Department*, Prudential Hong Kong Limited*, etc.)
  • Message Center
    • Enable push notification to receive latest updates on customer’s accounts/ services, marketing promotion.
    • Enable push notification services:

      (1) Enable push notification services via Mobile Banking (Path: "All Functions" > "Setting" > "Change Personal Information" > "Preferences Settings" > "Communication Preferences" > "Receive Push Notification").

      (2) Update preference to receive alerts on Transaction Notifications, Services & Promotions. (Path: "Communication Preferences" > "Push Notification Preferences").

    • Types of push notifications:

      (1) Transaction Notifications: Outward FPS Transfers; JETCO Cardless Cash Withdrawal; Securities, Fund Price Alerts (when you have set up price alert services).

      (2) Important Announcements: Bank services, system maintenance and security matters.

      (3) Services & Promotions: Marketing promotions/ personalised offers.
